Oh my. You MUST eat here. These sandwiches are OUTSTANDING. They’re made fresh when you order them, and it shows. The meat is very high quality, the pastrami was delicious. We ordered an OG, a Reuben, and a chicken OG… they were all delicious. The OGs however were especially great, in large part due to the chili oil they use… truly adds complexity to the flavor. Then bread is also super soft and crunchy, high quality. Honestly I’ll come again before my Portland visit is over. Highly, highly recommend you eat at this place. I want to go back right now :D

I wavered between 4 and 5 stars, mainly because they put cilantro on my sandwich after I checked off "no cilantro" when ordering at the kiosk. I HATE cilantro. And that aside, it really overpowered the OG sandwich which was otherwise divine. Lucky for me it wasn't much and I was able to pick it off. After that, easily one of the best sandwiches I've ever had and that's what gives them their 5 stars from me. I read reviews that said the sandwiches were too vinegary. Either I disagree or didn't notice because I love vinegar. The chili oil was just the right amount of heat and the bread was delicious. The smoked pastrami paired perfect with the sweet aioli. To the people complaining about service: we didn't get welcomed or even acknowledged when we came in, but it didn't make it a worse experience. The guy that brought us our sandwich was nice. And parking is not that bad, we parked around the corner no problem. Oh, and I think $17 is a good price for the size of these sandwiches, though it would have been nice to have it come with a bag of chips. Would I come again? Definitely. But I'd stress the no cilantro on my sandwich.

These sandwiches are incredible. I had the COG. My husband had a classic. You order from a kiosk. Atmosphere inside is airly and friendly. Tables can fill up but there’s usually window spots on high stools. There are a few spots outside. The sandwiches are big. Mine was two meals worth. Although, it was so delicious, I ate the second half about an hour later.

Simple, high quality ingredients. Beautiful presentation. Excellent experience. This is one of the best sandwiches I have ever had, and honestly the best lunch I've had in Portland. I cannot recomend the pickle plate enough, and I am sure every sandwich is as delicious as my Ham, Swiss, and mustard (Nicholle). When walking in, I k ew it would be a high quality experience as I saw a cook actively slicing meat for sandwiches. The restaraunt is beautiful and inviting. Just fantastic all around.

Such a delicious, well proportioned, and complete sandwich. My second time coming back and every menu item I’ve tried so far has been great. Interior is clean and cozy. Hours are a bit funky otherwise I’d probably frequent much more often. It’s important to remember this is a butcher shop first and foremost - we’re just lucky enough that they happen to serve great sandwiches on the side.

Had the Grind, and my wife had the OG. The pickled veggies were on point, and the soup was excellent. All the ingredients tasted fresh and flavorful, and the sandwich size was impressive. They were not stingy with their offerings. Looking forward to going back.

These sandwiches are flavor bombs! Got the OG and the Cubano. Bread was super fresh and crusty but still soft enough to enjoy as sandwich bread. All ingredients are made on premises and it really shows. The pastrami in the OG was so tender and juicy I am still dreaming of it!

Incredible sandwiches, top notch ingredients, great atmosphere. Portions are huge…had the grind and a bag chips at 2 pm today and won’t need to eat for the rest of the day. Bravo to you all!!
